Since I'm on a flow of posts this week, might as well catch up on some old acquirements :)
Never used L'Occitane products before, and received this giant bottle of shower gel as a gift (hopefully not as a hint to suggest I don't shower enough!!!). Am yet to start using it but I can so far report that the smell is lemony refreshing! ^_^
You can't own all the pretty things in the world, but you can certainly blog about them all! My online indulgence of the year: http://www.ozsale.com.au/signup.aspx?invitedBy=Angie.Teng

Chloe - eau de parfum
Got this little trial bottle while walking thru David Jones the other day, and used it for the first time last weekend~
This is officially on my list of favorite perfumes of the decade!!! So seductive that I'm fighting the urge to smell myself all the time :p

Fashion Clean-out - May 2012
Spent the month of May clearing out my wardrobe. Approx 60 items went including a few major pieces (Dotti, Miss Shop, Forcast, Sass & Bide, Fiorelli, Oroton were among the brands to go). This really was a massive session, the theory was: if I hadn't worn it in 3 years - gone. If I wore it alot in the last 3 years - gone. If I've been photographed more than 2 events in the outfit - gone (Facebook is very unforgiving about stuff like that). If it's too big - gone. If it's too small - gone. If I have something very similar to it - gone! And if no one on Ebay wanted it (then I probably shouldn't be keeping it in the first place), off to Vinnies they all went.
To be honest, the whole exercise was quite refreshing, even if it did come as a surprise to me that I owned exactly 27 skirts (I've worn like 5 of them in the last 3 years I think) and that my clothes hangers, if all used, does not actually fit across the pole of my wardrobe.
Not surprisingly however, my double doored, full-length mirrored wardrobe looks no emptier after this massive session. Instead, my floor is now littered with approx another 20 items whose chances to live in my home now hang in the balance, and half a suitcase of Winter clothing is still lying snugly behind my door waiting to be hung up. Perhaps I should be looking to offload some suit jackets and suit pieces? I work in marketing for godssake! Why do I need 4 suit ensembles and ENDLESS suit jackets???
Ok, enough of a spill. The point I'm trying to make? Having too much clothing can be a fashion disaster in itself. My new motto? Buy cheap, wear one year or less. Buy expensive, look for neutral/timeless pieces.
And May 2012 wasn't all about unloading. A few dresses here, some Winter basics there (HELLOOOO Abercrombie & Fitch), and 2 pairs of shoes on my sister's OzSale account later, I stand no chance in having a cleaner, more organised room. Instead, I have this to show.

Blossom Gold & Black Sequin Dress
Another short stint away from blogging about all my crap (I mean...treasures!!!)...ok let's face it I do buy a lot of crap too :p
Discovered this cute little Melbourne online store: (http://www.tweettweetfashion.com.au/index.php/) and within minutes found myself checking out with this cute black/gold Blossom dress.
On sale for only $16.25 (down from $65!)...this gold sequin bust dress with a sweetheart neckline and sheer chiffon fishtale skirt is just almost everything I look for in a nice dress...add to that a sexy cut-out back and fitted inside knit lining and you just can't say no!
Let's just say this hump day purchase totally made my Wednesday! :)
